Decades ago, I decided to write a poem for lent. I prayed, asking Jesus to inspire a topic that would make HIM happy. After concluding that prayer, I walked over and opened my closet and that's when it hit me. It literally HIT me. That is, a book fell from high in the closet right onto my head. That book was The 24 Hours of The Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ, written by Luisa Piccaretta.   I thanked Jesus for the inspiration, and I began to meditate on the book.

I wrote every day during Lent, and I finished the last verse of the last poem on Easter Sunday.  That poetry, inspired by that book, would mark the beginning of a spiritual journey over 30 years in the making. Through many years, and many evolutions, that poetry eventually became MY book Imagine The Passion, which made its way to The Center For The Divine Will , who further spread it to devotees of Luisa Piccaretta, and has been read and enjoyed by people around the World.  Now, once again, Lent is upon us, and I was called upon to explore another medium, creating this music, with lyrics taken directly from, and inspired by, those poems, detailing the hours of the passion of our Lord Jesus Christ. I hope it inspires you the way Luisa inspired me. - Barbara Alger
